davejonesbkk
I've been looking into getting the True 3G usb dongle with the unlimited 3G/Wifi package mainly so that I can use my laptop to work at any coffee shop in Bangkok. I'm also thinking about getting a 1st gen Ipad soon that Id also like to have 3G capability, would it be possible to use the 3G package from the dongle also on the Ipad? Not at the same time of course.
lomatopo
Yes. This only issue may be the microSIM required for the iPad. I guess you can put a microSIM in the dongle. http://www.truemove.com/3g/en/prepay-microsim.html http://www.truemove.com/3g/en/device.html Just make sure both support 850 Mhz 3G You may be able to use True WiFi, say on your laptop, and 3G on your iPad, simultaneously. wpcoe
If you plan to make use of the True WiFi zones, you might run into a problem switching between a dongle and another device, since to enable the free use of the WiFi zones True needs to enter the MAC address of the device into their system. If no MAC address is entered, you are presented with a username/password screen and according to the True office in Hua Hin, you cannot access the free WiFi zone feature of your 3G account via that screen. (I hope that made sense?)
