bridge
Any applicant submitting a temporary or permanent visa application (in Bangkok) after 28 February 2011 should be aware that the Embassy is now part of the "E Health" program. Medical and radiological examinations can only be conducted after you have been provided with a health assessment letter from your case officer. That letter must be taken, together with the Form 26 and 160 to the panel doctor at time of examination. Bridge

Turboadam
It is also now normal for Thais that have applied for a spouse visa and then subsequently a tourist visa to be required to undertake these medicals prior to the issue of the tourist visa. Ours initially slipped thru the cracks but due to another issue was identified by DIAC and is required. Furthermore, unless you put in a very very very good application (as Bridge did for us) the TV issued during the processing time will be 3 months only. (We got 6 months !) Cheers.
