Does anyone know how long it takes to get a tourist visa in Penang? I vaguely remember it being same-day last time I was there but I have learnt from experience not to trust my memory.

Expect it will be next workday unless a special fee to expediter is paid. This is normal at most places in the area - submit in morning and pickup next afternoon.

You put in the application in the morning or your agent does and you pick it up at 3=30 in the afternoon. You can then take the 4pm minibus back to Thailand to either Hat Yai or Sadao. Just got back from there. They are still free at the moment as well

I just flew down to Penang, I gave my book to an agent at 9am and had it back with a tourist visa at 4pm.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a non-immigrant B visa from the Penang Consulate in the same day?

Also, if you can still get a multi-entry, one year, and if so, how much?

Have been looking around the forums, but the info. I've found is from a few years back.

I know a guy that can get a B visa the same day but you need to pay extra for this service. let me know if you want his details.

Remember you will need the WP receipt or your WP, normally it is a morning give in, collection the next day

in the afternoon.

And office hours in Penang are Mon-Fri? I read on one site that it's open on Saturdays.

Mon-Fri in Penang. KB is the only Malaysian Thai Consulate facility open on Saturday.
