rikbrown
Hi all (สวัสดีครับ!) I've been in Thailand for 9 months or so, studying Thai part time for 5-6 of them. Obviously I'm still nowhere near strong enough to hold up or even understand a normal Thai's conversation, but it's beginning to come together well Anyway, unfortunately I'll be needing to go back to the UK soon (this was only a year break away from real life!), however I'm eager to continue learning when I return (just to stop the language drifting away). I'm assuming my best options would be some kind of distance learning - Skype etc - with Thai-based schools? Googling for Thai classes in the UK didn't turn much up (although if anyone knows of them, that would be good - I'll be in the Nottingham area). Anyone got any recommendations or opinions? Thanks, Rik. Edited March 26, 2011 by rikbrown
coma
Get yourself a laptop with Thai script on the key pad so you can chat online with your friends till all ours of the morning. Won't help much with tone pronunciation but you will get exposure to vast amounts of vocab, sentence structure ,grammer and spelling as well as typing skills using Thai script.
