Extension Of Stay For Non-B Visa

Featured Replies

Hi,

I will be traveling to Thailand this June with a single entry Non-B visa which gives me permission to stay for 90 days in Thailand. However I need to stay about 5 days more than that (95 days in total). I know I can leave the country and get another 15 or 30 days of permission to stay but I have a vague memory that it would also be possible to get 7 days of extension in an immigration office in Thailand.

If this is correct I would appreciate if someone could let me know about the requirements for the extension and documents or forms which I need to provide to the immigration office. Thanks.

A seven day extension from immigration can be obtained with TM.7 application form, 4x6cm picture, 1900 baht fee, and show ticket out of the country during those 7 days.

This "extension" starts from the day you apply for it! Don't apply to early.

Thanks for the heads up. So it does not work like one-month extension for TR visa? In that case they extend the permission to stay for 30 days from the day the current one ends.

No. It is not an approved extension of stay but only a seven day under review period.
