peanut
Hi all I've got a few meds at home that I'm not using and I was thinking that maybe I should donate them or something, so that someone can use them before they expire. Does anyone have any ideas where I could take them? I don't think a hospital would take them but where else? Ideally they would somehow reach people who can't afford them. But it's not like clothes, that you can just give them to the maid. I live in Bangkok.
Sheryl
Depending on what the medications are, the Mae Tao Clinic (AKA "Dr. Cynthia's Clinic") in Mae sot, which serves Burmese refugees and also runs mobile teams into very underserved parts of Burma, might take them. See http://maetaoclinic.org/wp-content/uploads/publications/donate/wishlist_with_prices.pdf If what you have uis of use to them you can probably arrange to send it up there via an NGO with a Bangkok office, suggest contacting the Burma Border Consortium http://www.tbbc.org/
