JimsKnight
Out diving to get a reef repaired as best we could. It was covered in fishing nets and debris in parts... Vis was excellent and the weather held out for us: Edited April 18, 2011 by JimsKnight

RedQualia
Maybe I blinked, but I don't think I saw a single fish. How sad. Just like diving in Nha Trang.

There were a few, but you blinked I think. A Dive in Thailand doesn't have to have fish everywhere you know.
bangkokburning
Since Thailand doesn't have any more coral - I'm not really sure why diving would even be enjoyable activity, especially with the expense. I will never go back and get re-certified. Anything more than a snorkel/swim is just a waste of time and money. Surely money.Nets are everywhere in the NPs let alone here - Don't know why you bother. Doesn't seem to concern Fisheries Dept.A noble effort, I always bring up nets when I it is practical. Good on you.
Howdy
The Similan and Surin Islands the last time I was there last year still have some good diving and coral. The liveaboards can be a bit expensive but once every few years still a good way to get out there and see some fish and coral. Lots of good diving in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia. If you live in Thailand just a short plane hop to anywhere you want to dive. Worth being certified for sure.

Plenty of coral, see the reply to your previous post.
