KarenBravo
Not in Phuket at the moment, but have looked at a few weather sites. They are saying that the wind has turned to the SW. Can anyone confirm this? If it's true, then the SW monsoon has started right on schedule. Last year the wind din't change to the SW until June. barka
Its crazy weather,i have never experianced high season weather like this season, in all the 25 years i have been coming to Phuket ..i can usually see the change in the sea..normally the waves go from 2 waves to 3 or 4 ,the winds change, the yachties are usually out of here and on the way to the indian ocean to get outof the monsoons.. This year we have experianced rain and storms every month since last November untill now,i have a feeling we are going to exoeriance some severe storms soon, thats why iam going back to the UK for summer, see you September..LOL
Jimi007
Yes, the wind was coming from the Southwest and the surf was up at Nai Harn the other day. I said to my wife; it looks like monsoon season is here early, noting the wind direction. It's cloudy and has rained most every night for almost a week. But there is a prediction that the La Nina pattern we have been in since about July 2010 should dissipate by sometime in June 2011... We shall see.
