May 2, 201115 yr The US Trade Representative once again has put Thailand on its list of top pirates of intellectual property, known as the Priority Watch List. The report says that Thailand has "shown a continuing commitment to improving protection and enforcement," but has "failed to make substantial progress." --- Thai authorities are great at showing commitment to fighting crime, corruption and improving human rights, free speech & free assembly but never actually doing anything about it. It's been going on for so many years now it's almost funny. And Western governments pretend to be fooled by Thailand's bullshit every time - or at least they never go beyond mild criticism. NEVER any action! Why? Do they still believe in the Domino Theory or something? Why does Thailand get a free pass so often? Even Amnesty International gives Thailand a pass on human rights violations... And that last bit is totally incomprehensible to me. I have stopped giving money to Amnesty because of this. May 2, 201115 yr I keep my intellectual property locked up securely between my ears. So far nobody has been able to steal it. I don't trust the police in any country and not even is supposedly honest and safe Canada.
May 3, 201115 yr Thailand has long been the sweetheart of the world's establishment......for decades, sliding under the so-called moral and ethical radar that these same communities are quick to point the finger towards. Hmmm....I wonder why this has persisted as it does?
May 3, 201115 yr Canada and Israel are on the top list as well. source: forum rules forbid any link from that newspaper
