It is about time I got round to registering my car in my name and would like to do so in Pattaya but there are several things I do not know.

1 Do they have a 1 stop service here? If so how much does it cost?

2 Where do I go to register the car in Pattaya?

3 Where do I go to get proof of where I am staying? ( I live off Pattaya Klang )

4 What documents do Pattaya require from me?

I already have the book for the car but obviously not in my name.

Thanks for any help.

edit for some detail

This may help you, Last month I gave one of my Honda CRVs to my wife, for her Birthday, we went to the Car place on highway 36 by the School, they checked the chassis and engine number in the bay adjacent to the office, they then call the numbers into Chonburi for confirmation, or maybe did it on line I am not sure, the whole thing took around one hour and cost baht3700.

I believe the cost is related to the size of the engine, there is a girl there who seems to work around the inspection pit area who did everything for us, I tipped her 200 baht.

Proof of residency comes from the Immigration dept.

Take your passport and house book with you, and of course the car log book

As above with Rimmer,

I did mine at the LTD behind Regents school on the 36.

I took the following with me,

My Passport.

My Work Permit (no need for residency letter from immigration).

Previous owner, his passport and residency letter from immigration.

Vehicle blue book.

Multiple photocopies off everything (done across the road).

There is a really helpful young lass there that speaks english, she sorted it all, took about an hour.

Cost was (from memory) 1800baht (3.0 pickup)
