Non-B Visa Extension

Hey guys,

I am doing my internship in Thailand and my non-immigrant B visa expires May 31st. My internship is for 6 months, so I need an extension by another 3 months. What are my options? Can I extend my visa without doing the visa run?

Not sure if you can extend and under what conditions for an internship, unless you have a work permit. It would depend on the rules of immigration for inetrnship and I don't know how they will consider it. You could be working illegally.

Normally an internship is accepted as part of your education without the need for a work permit if the educational institution is located in Thailand.

In your case you could contact the immigration hotline and see what they answer you. Just dail: 1178 or 1111.
