Eurocopter's luxury Mercedes-Benz helicopter unveiled

2011-05-20 06:16:51 GMT+7 (ICT)

MARIGNANE, FRANCE (BNO NEWS) -- Eurocoter will be delivering its first twin-engine EC145 Mercedes-Benz Style helicopter, after it made its world debut at the 2011 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva this week.

The styling project was conceived by the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Studio in Como, Italy, and the interior of the EC145 Mercedes-Benz Style is inspired by the automaker's range of high-end vehicles. It features deluxe materials, elegant woods and ambient cabin lighting, along with multi-function boxes.

The medium-sized, turbine-powered aircraft features seats mounted on rails that can be easily reconfigured for different seating arrangements from four to eight passengers – or removed to make room for luggage. Multi-purpose storage is made possible by numerous attachment points on the floor and walls.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the luxury helicopter, which is being sold for $6 million euros ($8.58 million), is ready to be delivered for the first time to an unnamed European customer.
