FarangBuddha
"[R]andom"...highly unlikely. More likely a security detail from one of the Walking Street clubs where this bloke was earlier that evening and he pissed them off...maybe patted on of them on the head on his way out...just saying

manarak
...Moments later a group of 20 youths in two cars and one pick-up truck arrived at the shop and attacked the foreign man... very strange indeed. I suppose there is more to this story. 20 seem overkill, but not so much if they expected to face the Australian and his 3 friends... but we'll probably never know. SteeleJoe
Random? Of course, I couldn't possibly know -- but I'd bet a lot of money that it wasn't.

They were 3 birds he apparently picked-up on Walking Street that evening (the ones that ran-off to some nearby bathroom when the Thais showed up)...not three strapping Australian mates! There is allot more to this story that will never be revealed...no group of Thais would waster their time pummeling anyone eating noodles at 4:30 in the morning for no good reason.
