Well the Asian Tour Pros all return to Thailand.

The players all arrive in Koh Samui next week for the Queens Cup

to be played at Santiburi Golf club.

I will be making my way down there on Sunday, where i will be taking

up caddying duties again for American player Matthew Rosenfeld.

I spoke with Matthew today and things did not get

off to the greatest of starts as when he picked up his clubs at Samui airport

the head had been snapped off his driver.

So i ran around my golfing buddies to pick up a couple of drivers to take down with me

plus Taylor Made are supplying a couple more for him to try out.

My first visit to Santiburi and i have heard plenty about the course

a case of buggy and walking.

I will keep you posted on the practice rounds and during the event, any tips on the course

more than appreciated.

If you are down there come and say hello.

Regards

Sorry to hear about Matt's driver. I know how individual drivers are so it really sucks when something goes wrong with it. BUT, being on the tour I am surprised Matt's not aware of the oldest trick in the bag (no pun intended!) - when you pack the clubs make sure you put every graphite shafted club in the bag HEAD FIRST. I pack ALL my clubs upside down when I fly, and every PRO I know does it this way.

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

We did have a laugh about it when i pointed out he was 123rd for driving accuracy on tour

so maybe they did him a favour.

Thanks for the tip

Well just back from the First days practice round.

All i can say is WOW what a scenic course some stunning views.

However what a tight course you really need to think your way around.

Today we played 9 holes with fellow Asian Tour Pros

Niall Turner and Brad Smith and then the back nine with Siddikur.

What a disaster for Niall Turner as when he arrived in Bangkok

all his luggage and his clubs had gone missing.

He was lucky in that his brother had come with him so he

borrowed his clubs and clothing.

The thing is Niall is about 6ft 5" so the clubs were too short for him.

We had a good selection of drivers to try today as Matts was broken on arrival inThailand.

Both Taylor Made and Callaway gave Matt drivers to try out.

We seem to be favoring the Callaway at the moment so he will

try it again Tuesday and make a decision then but he did hit well.

All in all a good practice round feeling quietly confident.

Matts feeling good as the Dallas Mavericks won the playoffs.

I will update again Tuesday evening.
