18 fugitives arrested at Pattaya Polling Station

PATTAYA: -- Banglamung Police arrested 18 fugitives on Sunday as they exercised their democratic right and voted in the General Election at the Banglamung School Polling Station. Police had circulated arrest warrants to government officials and asked them to inform waiting Police when they arrived to vote. Police were amazed to see that 18 people came to vote, even though they were aware they were wanted on serious offences.

Can we guess who they voted for? Or will that be labeled 'treason' under the rule of the new overlords?

Edit to add:

<deleted> -- "The majority of the male suspects are wanted in connection with sexual assault of minors and one was wanted on an attempted murder charge."

They are hoping for amnesty.

Thanks Buddha dumbness still runs in criminal's minds. How dumb can you be to show up for vote knowing that there's an arrest warrant issued for you?

I think the answer is very, very dumb.

Who could blame them? Probably been on the run for years knowing the police can't be bothered doing their job.

This would have to be the first piece of 'pro-active' police work I've heard of ever in Thailand.

What's the place coming to?:annoyed:
