Hammock mania! While you're relaxing in your obligatory hammock, eat some pizza and exterminate a few bugs. Seems to be the normal life cycle in Chiang Mai!

Don't crash into the hammock in front of you and get hammock rage! :giggle:

I dropped by a new multi-unit construction in Chang Phuack yesterday, and the boss lady proudly showed me her latest innovation: hammock anchors screwed into the concrete walls along either side of the front porch.

When you find your hammock, she's ready.

What's with the sudden demand for hammocks? 5 topics already.

I'm sure that there's no connection between any of the people starting any of these 5 topics and anyone selling hammocks in Chiang Mai.

This sounds like a double entendre.

Anyway, I saw nice stand-alone hammock at Index Living Mall on the super highway. The hammock is displayed across from the Land and House Bank branch inside the store.

Yeah, 5 threads on hammocks today.

Thanks to mallmagician....:whistling:

At least this one is current, reasonably Chiang Mai-specific, and isn't offering anything for sale in Chiang Rai.

What's next, a thread on Burmese trekking sticks? Dugout canoes of golden teak? Hilltribe cheroots?

Alot of the local hammocks are of good quality but I've had several vendors recommend against me buying theirs just based on my weight - about 95 kilos. They have all told me up to about 70-80 kilos is pushing it.

Where to find a hefty Farang-rated hammock is the question !

..try Wualai Market (on each Saturday evening) about 50m in from the southern end on the left. All sizes and strengths..or made to order from tough woven man-made fibres.
