Man seriously hurt in drunken road crash in Sattahip

SATTAHIP: -- A man was seriously injured as a motorbike rear-ended a stationary car in Sattahip District in the early hours of Tuesday. The crash occurred on the Sukhumvit Road and caused serious head and upper-body injuries to Khun Surachart aged 25 who was rushed to the Queen Sirigit Hospital. The other vehicle involved in the accident was a Bronze Mitsubishi Lancer driven by Lieutenant Commander Prichar aged 38. He explained to Police that he has stopped at a Red traffic light and then felt a sharp jolt and realized the motorbike had slammed into the rear of his vehicle, apparently unaware of the red light. Police suspect the motorbike driver was intoxicated
