Wanted British National arrested by Police at South Pattaya bar

PATTAYA: -- Plain-clothed Banglamung Police Officers conducted a dramatic arrest of a British national in the early hours of Thursday at a South Pattaya Bar. With guns drawn and armed with arrest warrant number 694/2554 dated 11th October, the officers entered the Cheers Guest House and Bar located off the South Pattaya Road and arrested Mr. James Kelly aged 45 who was forced to the ground and handcuffed. He was taken to Banglamung Police Station for questioning, however he decided not to say anything and concealed his identity from the gathered media. The arrest warrant states he is accused of visiting the house of a fellow Englishman who resides at the St James Park Village in Pong Municipality and caused damage to a parked vehicle. The alleged incident was caught on security cameras at the house which have been submitted as evidence by the complainant who reported the incident to Police who then summoned Mr. Kelly to discuss the case.
