Has anyone made a trip to the British Embassy in Myanmar (Burma) to apply for a Non-O visa but travelling from Chaing Rai?

I'm in Phan District of Chiang Rai (south) and was wondering how to get there and back for this visa. (by Mini Van is great)

or if anyone can kindly suggest a number for a Mini Van service / Tour operator? (tried Googling but all the tour places don't have a phone number to call!

You cannot travel past the border area on a mini bus run. You will have to fly. THere are flights fromn ChiangMai. Visas are available on arrival (but check).

Don't you meant the Thai embassy for a Non O visa?

You appear to be posting from the UK rather than Chiang Rai.

Are you using an overseas provider or is a local service using IP numbers that are normally assigned to the UK by chance?

harrys right ... you cant go out of tachilek province on a short stay visa

or travel further towards china unless you get a proper visa fom the burmese embassy in yangon in advance !
