Work Permit Cancellation

Working for a BOI company located at an Industrial Estate in Bangkok

I have resigned and want to use the resignation to cancel my workpermit,

without needing a letter from my employer...

Reason; I have two months of holiday's coming to me and want to resign

two months earlier, saving them money and me time...

they seem to prefer to stall and frustrate the process by not releasing me earlier

when I left my previous job, I just walked into the Ministry of Labour and handed them my WP. no letter nothing.

1) Yes, visa extension based on my job. I know I have to apply and pay for a short extension depending on if it is neccesary at the one stop service

2) Your resignation, was that from a BOI company located at an Industrial Estate because sometimes they have different rules

For example one cannot get a work permit on an Industrial estate based on a Marriage visa (extension)

Aidenai gave a nice link and it seems quite simple, still I do not feel comfortable enough... which could be just me

Many places will not give WPs on marriage extensions.

Can you still use the One Stop Service as you will have resigned from a BOI company and therefore in reality not entitled to use that facility (just asking).

Am the comfy one as well, for me it was easier just to hand in my WP at that time.

New employer is a BOI company as well, just not located on an estate..

Might have to call around to be sure that I am going to the right office, thanks for the tip
