I have a 1 year extension based on retirement. My child 6 years old has German and Thai passports. Last year I returned from a holiday and showed my child's German passport when entering which was stamped. I undertstand the rules for overstaying do not apply for children. When I leave should I show the German or Thai passport or it doesn\t matter as there are no fees for children overstaying?

Thanx RP

The child leaves on the German passport. next time he enters and leaves on the Thai passport and the EU on the German passport. At the airline check-in you show both passports to confirm no visa is required.

You can join your child in the Thai passport holders immigration line next time he enters or leaves Thailand on his Thai passport.
