800 Million Baht Central Pattaya road improvement scheme close to final approval

PATTAYA: -- At a cost of 800 Million Baht and with a construction timeline of 27 months, a major road improvement project for Pattaya is in its final phase of public consultations before construction can begin. Wonder how long this project will last? It's going to be heck until it's finished.

Well the article says 27 months but what usually happens is the funds get spent on something else (new Mercs all round), the contractor does not get paid and so stops work until more funds are raised so I'd expect that schedule to double.

First rainy season after it's opened is going to be fun to see how high the water reaches.

It says 27 months, that's constructing a tunnel. After god knows how many years it took just widening the road between Pattaya and Jomtien I fear that 27 months may be a little optimistic.

Is it really needed, your guess, another way to line someones pockets like the 27 sets of traffic lights around Pattaya that never work.........................................................
