Shipping About 30Kg Ireland To Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

I seen another thread on the UK but i cant use the same companies so didnt want to derail his thread.

I priced a 20kg box and a 7kg box and total for 2 was around 200 euro however the guy that i rang said that he wouldnt send anything valuable as a ton of stuff is always going missing on route to Thailand. I want to ship my Dell PC and 24" monitor, would have cost 2k at the time but resale value now would probably be 600 but heres the thing if i dont ship it ill have to buy a PC out here so its going to cost me €1k to get something of same quality or more.

Is he right that tons of things go missing, this was An Post i rang, is there a private company i can use either, any recommendations? Are they expensive? An post offer a max of 35 euro insurance to Thailand

Morny

I used Nat Ross Cork ,but i was shipping 17 boxes ( each 2 ft cubed ) to Thailand .On the Thai side a Company called Agility ( Bangkok )handled customs and delivery on to where i lived in Thailand .

..just to add ,i would not ship a computer from Ireland to Thailand .It could easily get damaged on the way plus you could get caught for high import taxes .
