Hi,

I'm wondering if somebody can help me translate this please. It is chat between my girlfriend and a friend of hers regarding an Ipad, what concerns me is the word "gik" used in the sentence. My girlfriend claims this is how 3G is written in Thailand, it seems odd to me that there is no 3 mentioned in the sentence.

ศักดิ์15900นี้มีกี่กิ่กเล่าศัก กิ่ก

|

sàk · nèung mèun hâa pan gâo rói · née mee gèe gìk lâo sàk

ศักดิ์ sàk prestige ; power ; honour · 15900 nèung mèun hâa pan gâo rói 15900 · นี้ née this มี mee have ; there is กี่ gèe how much ; how many กิ่ก gìk kik (transliteration) เล่า lâo tells ; describes ; says ศัก sàk sak (transliteration)

It seems to say to me, excluding the price 15,900, how much power does this have? But I am confused about gik, the guys name she is talking to is Sak. I know what gik normally means but she claims it is Thai abbreviated for 3G.

Does anybody have any ideas?
