khman
Hi, let's say I have to buy 50 eggs weekly. Should I go Makro or a Thai market, which one, is there "standard prices" like 1 lemon 1 baht? Which one is cheaper and better? Thanks
Samui Coconut
Best is to compare yourself on a weekly basis......thats how restaurants/hotels also do it........
samui34samui
No standard prices really; it's moving every week or so; for example you will find throughout the year lemon for 1, 2, 3 or 4 THB depending on the season
mistresserika
You will never, ever find lemons at 1,2,3 or 4 baht. Currently 19 baht at Tesco. Lime prices do vary according to the season. Do not say same same, because the taste of lemons & limes is very different.
samui34samui
I was talking about limes indeed, not lemons;
marstons
if its still an egg thread, i would choose Makro as they should be fresher and hopefully have been handled better. as for price hatch the eggs in to chicks then they will be very cheap cheap
PoorSucker
How fresh do you want them. Have seen the one with a fetus inside. Probably the only dish I never tried.

I did once in the Philippines, but I was drunk and it was a bet, so don't really remember the taste and texture that well anymore.....

I went a market in Samui, 4 baht. I will pass

FYI I went tesco, prices are between 100 and 125 thb for 30 pieces. In a market 4 baht a piece. So I think better to go Tesco. I will try Makro soon, just for my information...
