Hi, I'm reposting this. I originally posted in Family and Children forum but didn't get the answers i needed... so i'll try here.

I'm a Candian father living in Thailand married to a Thai wife. We have a 3 month old baby son who was born in Thailand. I want to get his Canadian citizenship as soon as possible since i heard the process is long and i plan on taking him back to Winnipeg for a visit later this year or early next. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the process and could enlighten me a bit. The info on the embassy website is straight forward enough but i'd like to know first hand how things went. One problem i noticed is that you need proof of identification ( two documents ). What can we use for our son? It also stated we need one piece of identification with a picture. Not sure what we could use for a baby.

The focus is on the citizenship and not the passport.

Anyways, any feedback would be appreciated.
