Hi everyone,

Hopefully going to hand in Husbands settlement visa application within the next 2 weeks shock1.gif

Little bit unsure what to do about booking our appointment though. We still need to get his TB certificate so wanted to book this for a Monday morning and preferably hand in visa application the next day. Looking through this forum I have read stories of people having complications with the TB test and having to return for 3 days in a row (sometimes even longer) before the certificate can be issued.

So my question is this; If I were to book the TB appointment for the Monday and the Visa appointment for the Tuesday, is there anyway I can change/cancel the appointment if there were to be complications with his TB results?

The only reason it is a bit of an issue for us is because we only have a small amount of time that we can be in Bangkok for and I don't know how busy/easy it is to book the visa appointment on the day before we hope to go. Wanted it all booked before we leave home. Obviously, I'm hoping the TB test will be straightforward and we will get it issued the same day. I don't want to have to faff around in Bangkok for any more time than necessary! Does anyone know how common is it that people do NOT get their TB cert back the same day?

I'm just at the point now where I'm rather stressed out and nervous about it all. Want to get it right, don't want to be tripped at the last hurdle! So any feedback from people that have done this already is more than welcome!

Thanks!

Hi

Make sure that you book your Appointment for when the TB office opens, it takes 20 minutes to do the paperwork before your sent off to the hospital.

We managed to get the X-ray complete and back to the office by Dinner time, Giving us the afternoon off.

you can change your appointment for the Visa application, But you may not get an appointment for a few days later.

the one thing that i will say about the TB test, The office that you go to, put the fear of god into us talking about the what ifs!!!!! And we had nothing to worry about.
