Hi Everyone, any help on the topic would be helpful. Last April 2011 I married a Thai Girl while in the U.S and a few weeks later we came to Thailand. I didn't apply for a green card for her because i knew we were coming to Thailand and were planning on staying for a while. However now her job is going to give her an "allowance" to go back to the U.S to get her PhD. So our plan is to go back to the U.S and apply for her green card/citizenship so she can pay an Instate tuition ( the allowance is 2million baht, not enough for a PhD). Anyways...the question is what visa or "excuse" is needed to allow her to fly back to the U.S? School Visa doesn't work, fiancee visa doesnt wotk i think. And i was told we have to be in the U.S to start the application process. Thanks everyone for reading!

In order to do the entire process in Thailand, I understand that you (the US Citizen) must have been living in Thailand for at least 2 years.

Otherwise you have to start the process in the US.

Should check out visajourney.com. It is dedicated to the US visa process ...

As mentioned above, send a detailed email to the embassy. When I was going through this, they were great at responding to all my questions...of which I had many. Even went to visit them in person one day with wifey to get some things sorted out regarding our fiance visa application. They were easy to work with.
