jaideeguy
I have a locked Huawei aircard/dongle/usb modem that is locked to a philipine network and have googled to find it can be done, but the process is a bit over my dummie head. Can anyone suggest a shop in CM that can do the trick for me???

mcgriffith
Only issue is what frequencies it operates on for UMTS/HSPA/3G. To give an example, I have a Huawei purchased from AIS 4 years ago. No doubt different in configuration from your PI model. They're all different. Takes a SIM, so network selection is not an issue. The real issue is....the specs for this particular aircard is that it only operates UMTS/HSPA/3G on 900 and 2100. Works on GPRS/Edge on all frequencies. So as far as Chiang Mai, it matters not a bit to switch the SIM card. It will only do hi-speed on AIS's 3G network. Clever how they do that.....
