German boat owner involved in bizarre Pattaya Beach incident

PATTAYA: -- A German-owned boat mysteriously went missing from Pattaya Beach late on Friday Night after its owner left the boat to enjoy a night out in Pattaya. Mr. Franz Josef Bauhmann aged 70 is the proud owner of the “White Pearl” and he travels up and down the coastline on a regular basis.

On Friday Night he decided to visit Pattaya and left his boat on Pattaya Beach opposite Pattaya Police Station. When he returned, the boat had disappeared and was spotted floating about 50 meters away from the beach and it appeared that someone was inside. A Jet Ski was commandeered and Mr. Bauhmann was taken out to the boat which was brought back to the beach.

A female stowaway, who refused to give her name, claimed she jumped into the boat and it floated out to sea, leaving her stranded on the vessel. Police suspect she attempted to steal the boat
