Offshore Investment Stories?

anybody have any experience with offshore investment companies? I found a European company that offers many choices for investments, tax free of course. The only red flag for me is that I have not been able to receive YTD return info for any of their vehicles, or even past year returns.

Just curious if anybody has had success with offshore investments..

You can't get any historical information but you're willing to invest? In that case, I've got a bridge you may be interested in...

Seriously though, it depends on what you mean by "offshore investments". We've got shares in the UK and US, some of which have done well, others haven't. We've also got money sitting in an offshore bank account in Jersey. They're all offshore from Thailand.

If you're talking about more adventurous investments, the old adage of "Do Your Own Research" applies (ok, that applies any time). Make sure you know what you're getting into (or are willing to lose). If the company is not willing to give you any information in exchange for taking your money, how trustworthy do they seem?
