Tune Hotel Pattaya Launches 199 Baht Promotion; Opens 17 February 2012

PATTAYA: -- Tune Hotels will open the doors of the 192-room Tune Hotel Pattaya on 17 February 2012.

To celebrate, Tune Hotels is offering guests rates that start from just 199 Baht per night.

The rooms are open for sale between 10-17 February 2012 for travellers booking stays in Tune Hotel Pattaya from 17 February up to 5 April 2012. Terms and conditions apply.

Including Pattaya, Tune Hotels now operates 16 hotels globally - ten in Malaysia; two in Bali, Indonesia; two in Thailand and two in London, England.

Adding to that list will be three locations in the Philippines – Angeles City (10 Feb 2012), Cebu City (24 Feb 2012) and Ermita, Manila (9 March 2012).

Tune Hotels’ first property in Thailand opened in Hat Yai in December 2011.

Group CEO of Tune Hotels, Mark Lankester, said, “The opening of Tune Hotel Pattaya marks a crucial point of Tune Hotels’ expansion in Thailand. It verifies our strong commitment towards Thailand and its tourism industry. This follows the successful opening of Tune Hotel Hat Yai, and with more Tune Hotels coming up in Thailand we are proud to be playing an even bigger role.”

Adding to its 16 properties currently will be another 30 hotels scheduled for opening this year in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and the UK.

Tune Hotels has collaborated with the Bangkok-based Red Planet Hotels for the development of Tune Hotels in Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia.

Red Planet Hotels CEO Tim Hansing said, “Tune Hotel Pattaya will be one of the busiest hotels in the network, so we don’t expect these great promo rates to be available for long but there will be more chances for travellers who love the brand to take advantage more great value rates across the network as the year goes on.”

Tune Hotel Pattaya is located on the beach resort’s bustling Second Road, just minutes from the beach, shopping, entertainment and nightlife.

I stayed in one of these hotels in KL, Malaysia, 3+ years ago - never again. I found it to be a very unfriendly and expensive palce to stay.

Just looking at the Air asia web site at the rooms available in Pattaya, I see that they are a "huge" 11 sq. meter's! Better not try to stretch the arms too much nor take the cat!!

Would be cheaper to stay in a normal hotel with these extra charges they have at least in other hotel they give you all this anyway ...

Wow! The addons create a whole different view. Thanks for that "nicky1982".

How can i get to this promos?

Here is their website. I have seen the place - I remember the "Modern" look , but forget where on Second Road.

Good Luck.

It's at the top of Soi 4, opposite the International Hospital, and on the other side of 2nd Road from Big C. Judging from the outside, and also by the speed it went up, the soundproofing between rooms isn't likely to be much good.

Apologies for my poor language... <deleted>??? extra for a/c??? That is garbage.

It is not garbage, it is a rip off. I checked the Hat Yai Tune Hotel and added all amenities, which are offered by other hotels without no extra charge. Their price offered is 499 THB net, but with everything necessary added the price went up to 1.507 THB. Besides, rooms in other hotels are larger by a minimum of 50%. A bigger room with necessaries here in Hat Yai can be booked from about 650THB a night.

I stayed once at the Tune hotel in KL, the friendliness of the staff was about zero. After I entered my cell, I had to go down to the office two times: first to tell them to switch on the A/C and the I found out, that there was no towel in the bath room. NEVER AGAIN!

I was having a guess that's all but after looking on Google i have found this ? Tune Hotels.com is a “limited service” hotel chain operated by Tune Hotels Regional Services Sdn Bhd that provides a claimed “5-star sleeping experience at a 1-star price” accommodation. Tune Hotels is part of the Tune Group, the private investment group of Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, founder and Group CEO of low-cost airline AirAsia. Tune Hotels claims it is aiming for 100 hotels in its global portfolio by 2015. Source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tune_Hotels sorry wai.gif

I was looking for a night arriving on 23-2, 1 night, cozy package + wifi (1 device).

To be short.........they will charge me THB 1200 for a night in a hotel with a towel, toilettries, 24 hr wifi for 1 device, 12 hr A/C

You can see that they are a sister of Air Asia........low basic fares, but if you would like to have something "extra".

Here is their website I have seen the place

Note that TV, AC, WiFi and TOWELS are an Add on to the normal room rate

Yes, that was precisely what I thought until I actually tried to make a booking; as I was going over to Pattaya anyway within the promo time frame and thought that I would give it a try - could always go somewhere else if it was no good at that price.

The 'EXTRA CHARGES' are a one off and are the same if you stay for one night or more !

I booked for 10 nights and including the 12hr AC + 24 hr TV +24 hr WiFi + Towel & toiletries, the whole charge came to 2,832.2 Baht, so just about 283 Baht per night, promo basic advertised at 199 Baht + Taxes etc. I'm sure the rooms are small, but I only need somewhere to sleep not have a dance and I don't need all the other crap 'facilities' that you normally pay for and don't use.

It'll be interesting to see what the hotel turns out to be like - let's hope it doesn't have 'teething problems'.

I would check what you actually get with that cozy package you booked - I am guessing you only get 12hr AC/24hr TV total for your 10 day stay as there is a drop down selection of how many packages you want so you have to select 10 packages for the full stay.

You may well be correct about this; but I don't normally use the AC for more than about 15mins before sleeping and the TV is again something that I only watch for a short while - news etc, so all in all it should be enough, but thanks for your observation/comment .

I think you are wrong there my friend. The way i read it is if you only book 1 package of 12hr AC/24hr tv,24hr WIFI and towels/toiletries then everything will be reset after your first day and you will have no A/C,no TV,no WIFI and no towels from day 2 onwards.

  • 4 months later...

Price as of 3 days ago.

Room 352 baht

Towel 120 baht

AC 140 / 12 hours

TV charge

When you add up everything you can stay in a better situated place with a swimming pool, bigger room, and towels, TV, AC, etc for the same price if not less.

etc etc.
