Amari Hotel, Don Muang Area

Hello All

I am think of staying at the Amari Don Muang.

It used to be 6000bt+ per night but alas internation moved to swampy and so prices are low.

Basically, as I haven't been there for years can anyone assist me?

Has anyone stayed there recently? If so, how are the rooms, pool, etc now?

How long from Swampy to the hotel? Taxi cost?

How long from the hotel to Suk area by taxi? How far from nearest BTS? which station? Any street food vebdors around there?

I want somewhere out of the way, but not in the middle of nowhere and the hotel used to be great, 10 years ago was my last stay!

Any opinions, assistance with the above greatly received.

Hi Rocketmanbkk, i stayed there in April 2011 and was upgraded to a deluxe room{ for free} and it was great much better than the Amari Boulevade, i ate in the restaurant and it was ok, didnt venture out much because i had an early flight, but the rooms are great and staff are second to none hope this helps, cant remember how much in the taxi, or how far , but it wasnt too expensive

I was also upgraded back in March 2011.

Be careful if you open your balcony door at night, there is a step down which I didn't expect and fell out of the room in a very funny and awkward way.

Yes, there is a sign warning you about the step down.
