Hi everyone, I am an Australian permanent residence and I've applied Prospective Marriage Subclass 300 for my Fiancee and lodged in Myanmar on Oct 2011.

We are both Myanmar/Burmese and have been in relationship for 7 years, she is 26 and I am 22. We have a lot of evidence (photos, docs, letters, etc) We are engaged but we couldn't include any document or photo evidence for engagement but a ring on her finger.

I work as a professional Tattooist in an established reputable tattoo studio. My income is Commission based, so it may vary every week (minimum AUD $30000 Annual).

I got this permanent job from July2011, so I couldn't show my income for past years. And I don't have any employment history, but I got a confirmation letter from my studio that I'm in permanent position and comission based pay of at least $600 to $1500 a week and I applied with couple of pay slips and bank statements.

She lodged all the applications in Yangon, Myanmar on Oct 2011, we still got no reply till now, Feb 2012. I heard the processing takes place in Thailand. I'm wondering when do we expect for an interview and medical/ panel check ?

+How long it usually takes for applications to be processed in Yangon or Thailand?

She rang to Australia Embassy and they said most possible interview may be on Feb 2012 but still no reply.

I want to go back to Myanmar on April this year and stay there till she gets her Visa. My work will give me 1 to 2 months holiday, but I don't want to go back to Australia without my girl. Only thing we hope is to be together forever, and no more being apart.

+Can we hope her Visa on April ~ May 2012 ?

+How Long it usually takes after interview ?

This forum is been very helpful for us, hope someone would have a clue and please help.

With respect,

Official time ..........10-12 months

Unofficial based on reports here only.........4-6 months. However as she is in Myanmar there could be some delays.

Thats all I've got.
