tubehero
Dear list, May I ask if you can go to a one-stop centre to apply for work permit, or do you have to go to the Immigration Office, near Don Muang Airport? The one-stop centre I am thinking of is at the Chamchuri Square Tower (MRT: Sam Yan station). And will you get the work permit on the same day, or will you have to come back many days later? Thank you
Soutpeel
Believe the one-stop is only for large companies and BOI type places. My company does all their stuff there and certainly in the case of WP/extensions renewals its a case of walking in and walking out 30 minutes later with everything stamped up and good to go for another year For new applications would guess apply one day and come back later

Mario2008
Correct, the one stop service centre is only for people falling under "BOI" rules, in otehr words the "big" companies.
Gone
Do you already have a Non-B visa? Will your company help you to apply for the WP at the labor board? I'm not sure how much you know on the subject so just asking but not just anyone can walk in and apply for a WP. There is a LOT more to it then just that. The company doesnt help apply for a WP....the company is responsible for the application....without the company... no WP Further the OP doesnt need a Non-imm B to apply for a WP...only needs an Non-imm visa when he is issued the WP Edited February 22, 2012 by Soutpeel
