Conflicting stories as 18 year old student is hurt in Sattahip road crash

SATTAHIP:--An 18 year old student sustained serious facial injuries in an early morning road accident on the Sukhumvit Road close to the 177km marker in Sattahip District.

Police and Rescue Services were called to the crash scene and attended to Khun Nuntnawin aged 18 who was on his motorbike travelling to school when he hit the back of a coach which was dropping off night-shift workers working at a factory in Rayong Province.

Two versions of the events leading up to the crash were given to Police. The coach driver, Khun Mongkon aged 38 claimed he was parked on the side of the road and was in the process of dropping off passengers when the motorbike hit the rear of the coach. Independent witnesses, claim the coach was in the fast-lane when it moved over to the left side of the road to park

There is no way the coach driver would be lying about it of course.

"Independent witnesses, claim the coach was in the fast-lane when it moved over to the left side of the road to park" have seen this happening many times and not only with motorbikes, but also with trucks and other buses.

Can't blame the bus drivers who were taken from their Kubota and set behind the wheel of a 16ton vehicle carrying at least 52 passengers.
