Pseudolus
There is a thread on here somewhere on the Malaysian eateries (plural, as in 2), but is it quite out of date and googling the places mentions make me believe they are shut. I'm not really into the southern thai borderesque malaysian style food; and I really want Rendang. Of course, I could cook it myself but it would not be good to eat for a few days. Any ideas? jaapfries
Well, my friend; you fail to mention your '10-20' (location), however; if near Pattaya, you should try "Bali-Breeze Restaurant" on the new 2nd Road in Jomtien, they do a pretty fair Rendang there, as well as complete Rijst-Tafel !!!! I know that Hankering Feeling and I satisfy it thus. Very very good ! Cheers, JaapFries

tutsiwarrior
is there an indonesian restaurant in BKK? I like rendang too, also soto ayam and udang bakar done indonesian style... I always associated malaysian food with the fabulous indian street restaurants in Penang... Edited February 28, 2012 by tutsiwarrior
skippybangkok
Ooooooooooooh.... Yummy. Rendang's come in many different styles. I love to dark black beef version, just out of this world. If anyone knows where to get it, please let me know.
