CHAOCHEONGSAO: -- Buakhao Por Pramuk, the renowned K1 boxing champ, has been missing from his home and training camp in Chaocheongsao province since early this month, forcing his manager to cancel his exhibition fights in France and United Kingdom.

Manager Theerapat Rojanantan said Buakhao, whose real name is Sombat Banchamek, 30, left his house on March 1. He took some clothes and was driving his brandnew BMW. His friends and his training camp have not heard from him since.

Theerapat claimed he had no idea why the boxer had disappeared, saying he had already contacted Buakhao's father in Surin province but to no avail.

He asked Buakhao to contact him as soon as possible to solve any problem the boxer may be facing. "I am ready to talk and solve the problem. Buakhao has been with the camp since he was seven years old. We are like brothers," he said.

The manager did not think that his disappearance was related to money.

He said Buakhao is scheduled to travel to Europe for exhibition fights in France on March 17 and in the United Kingdom on March 25. However, he decided to cancel both because Buakhao is missing.

Buakhao won his first K1 MAX World champion in 2004 and K1 MAX Grand Prix title in 2006, becoming the first man to win that title twice.

Both thoughts crossed my mind.

He is a legendary fighter, and maybe getting a little long in the tooth.

Would someone want him to take a dive and when he doesn't....

I just hope he is enjoying himself and nothing bad happened - Buakhao, call home.

Most of the world has no idea what 'scouser' means. Many would think it is someone that is always making 'excuses'.

scouser

"Inhabitiant of liverpool, often downplayed by rival cities due to false stereotypes from godawefull 80's TV shows such as "Bread", "Boys from the black stuff" and "Brookside" depicting them to be thieves and killers, and enforced by the peasant underclass of youths known as "scallys" or "chavs" who are generally annoying cun_ts. while these can be found anywhere in the United Kingdom, some people live under the delsuion that they dont exist around them, and they are only found in liverpool"

Scousers are usually easy going, up for a laugh, and welcoming to outsiders, and usually posess a strong wit similar to that of the Irish, and Geordies, also loves a good party!

"we do dat doe dont we doe?"

OK so not a meat pie, i understand!jap.gif Thanks!

I think we've been off-topic for long enough. It might be time to get back to the topic of Buakhao.

wink.png Sorry, very scouser of me but the poop on the grapevine is that his peoples get half of his profits or winnings and his contract was soon to expire. Could be something to that. Or not. Makes for an interesting turn at least.

His contract is intact. See you on Monday :P, for one who is so vacant. ;)

I think more likely a woman.

'B' is Fine...... Just remember that...

Good to hear.

Maybe he was just fed up with his manager, Mr. Pamuk. Although he claimed in the BK Post yesterday that he divides Buakow's money purse 50/50, which is a lie, in real Buakow only receives 30% of every fight's purse.

Buakow made a deal with the devil when he was young, like so many Thai boxing talents....

How many young fighters and indeed singers have been conned by unscrupulous managers in the past. I am glad he is safe and well and voting with his feet (or is it fists?)
