Usb Dongle For Wireless "Smartphone" Internet?

Featured Replies

Is it possible to buy in Thailand one of those usb dongles which provide wireless internet for a laptop?.

(these dongles are typically sold by the mobile company directly).

I am not talking about a wifi router, but the same service internet provided to smartphones, except that these usb dongles provide this wireless "smartphone" internet connection on a computer.

TIA.

Yes, all the IT malls and many phone shops have them. Mostly, as you note from the telecoms providers to work with their particular flavour of 3G.

AIS (and probably others) allow multiple SIMs on the same number, so you can have voice on one device and data on another but with a single account.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

My girl has a 3G aircard for mobile Internet that she used in bangkok and pattaya but signal in phayao is crap :(

Crossy, can you please clarify?.

I thought these usb dongles only provide a data connection, and no mobile number?. I'm a bit lost here.

Also, can someone please provide info on prices & plans?.

Thanks.

What's the point of getting a simcard for a usb dongle? do you insert the sim into one of them, as you would do with a mobile?.

Thanks.

A SIM is required to communicate with the network. Yes, you insert a SIM into the USB aircard.
