CCTV blamed for fire above South Pattaya Indian Restaurant

PATTAYA:--A newly installed closed-circuit surveillance system has been blamed for a fire in an office located about an Indian Restaurant in South Pattaya.

Just after 2am on Friday, Police and Fire Rescue Units were called to the Garam Masala Indian Restaurant to deal with the fire in a 2nd floor apartment which had been recently converted to an office.

About one week ago, CCTV equipment was installed and a short circuit in the power supply box powering the cameras is thought to have caused the fire which destroyed the office,
