High-crime Pattaya Communities targeted with 32 arrested in Police operation

PATTAYA:--In a joint operation involving Banglamung Police, Chonburi Provincial Police and the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, a number of communities within the Banglamung area which are considered as areas of high crime, especially in relation to illegal drug activity, were raided.

Arrests were made, drugs were found and assets thought to have been purchased with proceeds from the sale of drugs were seized. Police Colonel Somnook, the Banglamung Police Chief led a press conference on Friday Morning to announce the results of the operation.

A total of 32 people were arrested and charged with a variety of minor and major class 1 drug offences. Four of the arrestees, accused of dealing in drugs, were present as was the haul of drugs totalling 800 Yabba Tablets, 38.95g of Crystal Methamphetamine, a small quantity of Marijuana and a number of motorbikes and cars.
