Useful Thai Travel And Transportation Blog

Featured Replies

Just came across this web site which the blogger has dedicated mostly to travel by public and private transport in Thailand, also with some international links. Found it when researching the Maeklong Railway -- famous for the train which passes right through the market several times a day.

For those interested, it provides interesting reading, and some nice photography. It's also a useful source of reference for timetables etc.

Kudos thumbsup.gif to the chap who created this site. I hope other members enjoy it as much as I did.

Wow...quite the blog. Great information!

Looks impressive but the info on the bus I catch everyday does not tally with what I have seen for the past 4 years. It says the 558 is an orange Daewoo bus when the only ones I have ever seen are the newer yellow chinese ones. It also claims they start at 4 Am but they start at 6. They do not run every 15-20 minutes either thats for sure! more like two an hour. If the rest of the info is as accurate I would not relay on it too much.

tot sms747 and warning for over-enthusiastic others: most of the info is indeed quite dated. Though some things never change, others do at alarming frequency-LOOK at the dates provided and decide yourself how long ago it would be-and if maybe still valid or not.

Also: it does contain a few errors here and there. You also need quite a lot of backgroung knowledge about transport and BKK in general to take best profit of it.

ANother site-but now mainly aiming at apps and other newbie electronics, is bangkoktransit.com-also NOT updated and due to all the skytrain/metro works the ''routefinder'' often sends you wrong ways-or rather ways youd better avoid now.
