Was just looking at a cake recipe requiring golden syrup and treacle. I generally only ever cook savoury dishes so have never looked for these 2 ingredients but I'm guessing they're available at the usual places - Villa, Foodland etc.

Can anyone confirm? If available are they outrageously expensive?

Interesting, i have never before used treacle. Can you make it by caramelizing sugar to desired color and then continue with production of a simple syrup?

Both are normally avaliable in Villa, but at times they run out and it can be out of stock for a few months.

I know that they have golden syrup in Villa near 33, I bought some yesterday, but not sure about Treacle at the moment.
