I've seen big swarms before but just kept my distance and never paid them much attention. I guess I should be a bit more careful

we have two nests in our roof overhang..wifey wants to get honey I want to drink beer ....with 'em buzzing round the neck of the bottle...solution.... she goes shopping.... I move to sit under house and fight the dogs for my beer ..hey this is Thailand ...compromise!!

Those big black and yellow buggers which are coniferous eat our dried or drying fish...share share alike..just don't sting me!!!

I think you mean carnivorous (pine trees are coniferous) and they aren't eating your fish they are eating the eggs the flies are laying on them.

No, no. When she goes shopping (give her a couple of hundred extra) remove the nests and act like nothing have happened.
