"Regular" marsala wine can be found in most better wine cellars, but as with all imported wine, it can be pricey. I prefer to use good wine in cooking, but in Thailand, I do make use of cooking wine which i buy by the gallon in plastic jugs at Restaurant Depot. It can last quite a long time after being opened due to the added salt, and it is not as good, but it will do. Also, I have never had a problem with bringing it back through Thai customs. theseahorse Posted July 5, 2012 Share Posted July 5, 2012 Villa has Marsala for under 500 baht. As wine prices go here thats not a bad price really.
