Had Jim jum for dinner tonight.. and thought I would share the experience...

Picture a pot of boiling stock over hot coals... put in your raw meat and veg .. and leave for a few minutes ..and voila ... tasty tasty food..

I've had it in Bangkok.. in isaan.. in lao..and yes, i've been to MK .. but nothing beats the experience of sitting with family and friends outside the baan and enjoying good delicious food from the Jim Jum..

glass noodle (optional)

sauce- fish sace+grinded roast rice+lime joice ..etc

basically jimjum is served in earthen ware /pot

I think it's a valid warning for us non Thai speakers, as we could go into a restaurant and get something we didn't bargain for!

mmm... it's that sauce that makes it. sep eelee dur. better than suki sauce.
