Animal Lovers - Free Cat And/Or Dog Cuddles :P

Ok hope mods will consider this OK.

Im requesting members to post up local areas/temples/parks etc, where dogs and cats hang out, for those of us that would like to go along to see them, play, or generally help out. (Im not soliciting!)

Personally, i enjoy helping when i feel able, where possible. Because of living in a small apartment, i dont take on a pet, but i still miss not having a cat around, so visiting cats locally gives me my fix...and it also helps out.

I recently dropped into Wat Chiang Man for the first time, and there are about 20 dogs and 10 cats. A lady there donates time to look after them, so they are healthy looking and pretty content. Of course, there is always room for more help and improvement.

I realise there are kids etc needing help, but this isnt the purpose of this thread. This one is just for those of us who enjoy a bit of animal company from time to time..so hope it isnt going to cause an off-topic debate.

I know Dave2 is a big fan/helper, so if you have any recommendations of places to go for a bit of unabashed cuddle time, please add!! biggrin.png

Anyway, hope topic is taken in a positive way.

Happy petting! (er.. ermm.gif ..!! )

Excellent suggestion!

I for one need a regular fix of animal.

I miss having my pet dogs and always stop and give a pat to one that comes my way. I will do house minding in OZ if there is a dog involved laugh.png

I just babysat my nephews pet rat and that was fun for a few days thumbsup.gif

I know it's a bit far but on a recent trip up to Doi Pui I realized that the doggies in the village could really need a bit of help.

Are there any sheep available in Chiang Mai?

Opposite of Mae Jo university, the name is KSR farm, I do not think that they will charge you for cuddle.

In Lampang have also a farm that you can give food to sheeps, cuddle and spend your time there(not free), the name is Hug farm.

Sounds good, cheers. I'll hopefully check it out at the weekend. Do they have rooms available at the Lampang place?

Thats a really sweet idea. Would be a great one for kids.

Thanks so far to everyone else for the suggestions.

At Wat Chiang Man where you see many dogs and cats that is already a place that you can cuddles them, there are 2 dogs live there on the street(the rest live in the temple) , the owner is abandon them and a fews neighbor around there give them food and take out dog flea.

There is also another place in the city that you can also cuddle a cat and a dog, they are friendly animals, only the dog bark (no bite) a lot when the cars and motorbikes pass on the street while the owner or someone he love want to go out (with the car or motorbike) from the small soi , he just try to protect and keep the safety way for the peoples he loves and I think may be cause he had seen someone died there with motorbike accident during coming out from the soi.
