Anyone know of any franchises available in Bangkok for someone with a budget of 100-300 K UD$?

AIso, there anyone here with experience of owning a franchise outlet (s) in Thailand? Would be interested in hearing how it is working out.

Big Franchises such as McDonalds Krispie Creams etc all sold to one entity in Thailand. Choose the franchise that you are thinking of running and google it. All there from 7-11 and up.

I would tread with financial caution.

best franchise in thailand is to go along to what we now as a bank, put that kind of money in a fixed deposit and earn yourself an average of at 3%. 300k usd x 30bht=9,000,000=270,000bht per year.not to bad but you will not make any enemies

How dumb can you be, if you have $100-300 K sitting idle, to want to invest that money in Thailand? One of the most xenophobic countries in the world, where taking money out (as a foreigner) is next to impossible. $300 K and you want to open a 7-Eleven? The phrase "more money than sense" immediately comes to mind. The ONLY way you can earn decent money in Thailand is to work for a major multinational corporation at the senior management level. Other than that, Thailand is the preferred destination of the foreign loser who's all washed up back home. Sure, there are a load of guys bragging about how successful they are. However, their girlfriend/wife is an ugly, 1000-baht-a-night soi 4 hooker and they dress/look like slobs, so go figure...

I've seen a lot of franchises in the price range the OP mentioned, many of them to do with coffee or other food and drinks. As far as I can see, the only one making any money is the franchise owner. Generaly not worth the hassle just to lose your money. One possible exception is Chaisri Bamee noodle franchise. Not to bad for a Thai one man band providing they can get a decent pitch outside a 7/11 or something.

Here's a link with some:
