Not Enough Computer Power?

With current computer technology reaching it's limits in size and speed new technologies will be the only way to go beyond this. How about a computer with virtually unlimited memory size, instantaneous communication to another computer on the other side of the world (unless CAT is involved)? Came across this article, unfortunately it's about 20 years away though some is already in use.
