mania Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) Cool i got ninja 300se Stock. Just changed air filter for better one.. U need give me some advices on upgrades... I got akropovich exchust in mind next but its 20000. I was saving for it but spend it on ps4 ... mataleo Hahah thats ok I have often thought of buying a Sony Vita PS4 just to play motoGP Upgrades most bikes are the same for power upgrades...increase intake by lessening restriction...same for Exhaust then adjust fuel maps to make use of it thru the use of an EFI controller like power commander, Juice box etc. After that it will get expensive if you want to do engine work like cams, head work, porting etc. As for Exhausts yes some are better than others but back to lessening restriction I would not justify 20k exhaust on many bikes if an alternative exists I had a Devil full system 16k baht & now run the DBS locally made system 10.5k baht. Happy enough with it. The Devil gave a tiny more on top but was very very loud. Of course depending on what you want but for me, I only did engine work after addressing tires, suspension & brakes Have Fun Edited March 17, 2014 by mania

mania Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 (edited) I had a Devil full system 16k baht & now run the DBS locally made system 10.5k baht. How much is DBS? 10,500 baht PS if sound you like is Akro you should stick with it. But yes slip on It does have a nice tone. So does Scorpion Serket Taper which is similar or Yoshimura I think all priced about the same as they are all imports. But those can be had as a full system too Devil & DBS are made in Thailand Edited March 18, 2014 by mania

speedtripler Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Didnt know theres copies.. I guess rubbish. As making akropovich exhust is very advanced process.. mataleo check some thai sites and classified ads and you will see how extensive the copying is one guy even said his copy produced almost the same performance increase and weight decrease when they tested it on the dyno the sound was very similar as well and most people probably couldnt tell the differnce for about 40% of the price of the original ive seen slip on mufflers from akro and other big name brands from 5500+ upwards and guys selling them will usually put it on for you for an extra 100- 200thb dont know what it would be like after a year or two ,copied anything is usually made of the cheapest material they can get their hands on but if i was strapped for cash 28,000 for an original or around 7,000 for a copy id be tempted to try out the copy version and see if its ok

Because Taiwan has extensive experience in carbon fiber etc. Sometimes I think these cans are either excellent copies or back door originals with no label. Lastly at the end of the day pick any can up & look thru it....They are not high tech....any of them really. It is a can with packing around a perf tube. mehhhh I think the full systems pipes is much more important. Size & how they flow the spent gases etc. End cans are just a basic silencer. So for a slip on? Personally I would spend very little Edited March 18, 2014 by mania 3

BBJ Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 As yest haven't tried PT as the one near me doesn't sell benzine. Tried caltex and after 3 refills it pops and puffs on decelaration and sometimes missus on accelaration through traffic.. Found no benefit over the Gasohol 91 I was using from Shell. However, and much to my surprise, PTT Benzine 95 purchased at the garage just after Fashion Island, Ram Intra is much better. No pops or puffs. As for running better, I'm not sure as it is hard to tell. V-Power 95 was just as good as the Benzine from PTT in my opinion.

01322521959 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 My little Honda Tena seems to hate anything other than benzine. Carb spotless, jets clean. Where is benzine sold now in Wippawaddee area?
YipYipYa123 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 if you dont post nonsense, i dont answer. pretty easy. Actually you should go back and read what he wrote (in too many words possibly): 95 benzine is better than gasohol of any octane. He also verified the need to remap the er6n to make better use gashol. All these things makes perfect sense. I think all this is true If I leave my bike unattended for a few weeks with gssihol it won't start Real petrol (ie benzine) I can leave it 6 months and it still starts on the first turn off the key) For me anyway, that speaks volumes....

On the other hand even the expensive benzine is not as good as fresh after many months so the best approach when storing vehicles for a long time is to leave as less fuel as possible and refill with fresh one before starting. 1
